Saida is the third largest city in Lebanon. It is located
in south of Lebanon on Mediterranean coast, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of Tyre and 40 km (25 miles) south of the capital Beirut.
If you are one of who love to see monuments, Antiques and something old you can go to khan el franj which represent typical khan with large rectangular courtyard and a central fountain surrounded by covered galleries, it was a place for French merchants and goods in order to develop trade with Europe, or you can go to Debban palace a historical residence built I 1721 an example of Arab Othman architecture. If you want to see how soap is made you can go to Sidon soap museum which traces the history of soap making in the region.
You cannot leave Saida without
seeing its two castles: The sea castle which is located to the south of old
souks. But if you love the sea you can go to ziri in a boat or you can eat the
wondeful food in Rest house which a view of ziri.
Finally you can end your
day in souk Saida which is a historical valuated market stretching between the
sea castle and castle of St. Louis.
