, although it’s small it got a massive rock – heavy metal scene.
Lebanon’s capitol Beirut knows for it’s variety of pubs and bars and café shops that’ll satisfy any humanly known taste, back to the rock scene , in the “Rawshi” area there was a café facing the beach called HardRock café , my friends and I “band members actually a mix of rockers and metlars” used to go to that place every Monday and Wednesday because this café was crazy , the feeling when you enter this place is just priceless at least for my musical taste.
the entrance welcome you with professional valet parking staff unlike the majority of other places in this country , they’d park your car and share a cigarette with you while discussing your favorite band , they might add you on facebook and invite you to a local event as well , yes the Rock – Metal scene is a family like culture.
once you enter the place the place , it’s like the Paradise city Gun’s Roses sang about in their famous song “Paradise city” , then you see the massive stairs designed in the style of the famous Ledzeppelin song “Stair way to heaven” , along the walls of the stair case you’ll find old instruments used by rock legends , and a brief info about each instrument when was it used , by who , and how was it given to this branch etc..
the café also featured a small stage , but perfect enough for an awesome rock n roll gig , great sound system offered by the management for the performing bands for free , also a kick ass drum kit , and of course you can’t rock out without a wireless microphone , for people this might be “meh” but for us rockers this all we want and we’ll play loud and enjoy our time.
plenty of dining tables are spread all over the place facing the small stage , other fancy leathered couches along side a dining table are located facing the windows , there also TV sets that are hanged on almost every wall , of course playing high quality video clips of rock/metal legends like “Black Sabbath , Megadeth , Rush , Pearl jam , Metallica , gun’s n roses…etc” basically every band you’ll have in mind from heavy tunes to the mellowest tremolo chord “Guitar metaphor”
well every café also serves food right ? hell yeah they served the best dishes I’ve ever tasted in my life , it’s like your mums food plus the extra shit that makes it tastier therefore you have what I call and foodgasm feeling in your mouth, food is served fast , fresh and hot , every plate has a small flag of the country that originated this specifi dish for example if you ordered let’s say a Pizza it’ll come with a small Italian flag pointing out , it’s basically useless , but it sure made the plates look more unique.
They also had what they call all you can eat chicken wings and beer for $20 every Monday , yup it’s an offer that is actually as tasty as the regular day chicken wings dish no frauds no nothing , and they’re perfectly made with some kind of a weird hot/pepperish sauce that made it taste like a tiney storm in your mouth , and ofcourse all the beer you want to wash it out and have a good time.
Too bad , because of the current political and economic situation they had to shut down this awesome café , and since then Beirut wasn’t the same for us , we’d go other places and say “Hard rock Café was the shit , and this is not the same” , for hope of a change and a re-opening hopefully “yeah keep dreaming” , I want from the people who read this to check out this place online at least , or if you’re traveling abroad why not hit a branch and have some fun , note if you’re not into loud music “Rock – heavy metal” don’t go , cuz you’ll miss out on the ora of it.
